Kikithespunkymunky is Baaaaack! Rethinking, Repurposing, Recreating, DIYing, and Sharing: Embroidery Hoops n Fabric Window Covering
The window next to my computer in the office lets in a lot of Texas heat in the summer, so now that it's fall (but will be summer in Texas for the next couple of months lol), I decided to come up with a window covering. And without going out and buying anything to complete the project as usuual...The window is an odd shape and I didn't feel like cutting and hemming fabric to fit, so I remembered an idea I saw on Pinterest many a time, using embroidery hoops (of which I have a collection, imagine!) and lace. I decided to use scrap fabric instead of lace because I want to keep the heat/sun out. I was planning to connect the hoops together somehow after I had them arranged in the window how I wanted and make a 'screen', but instead I adjusted them and 'wedged' them in. They're not hard to remove when I want more light or if it's rainy outside, right nice feature. Instead of the lace idea I saw, I used a bag my hammock came in that I was never going to use; a ripped embroidered pillow that I didn't feel like repairing; and the back of a vintage pleather jacket (thrifted for .50). I'm frugal like that:) Voila.....

I like the idea of using Instagram to share and sell my vintage and handmade items, so I thought I'd complicate the process and add a second Instagram account for this purpose - kikithespunkymunkyshops :)
I finally figured out all I had to do was log out of Instagram and set up my new account with a different email. Duh. I had to resort to Google. Sad, but true.
Now I need to learn myself how to connect all my accounts and post easily from site to site. Facebook (personal and business), Instagram (personal and business), Etsy, and Twitter. Whew. Not as regular: Pinterest, blog, Google+, Tumblr...lol.
